Thou shalt not skimp on the essentials

My housemate is allergic to rice, yet she continues to eat it.

It is both disturbing and hilarious to watch, everytime she swallows some she makes a noise like she has a furball stuck in her throat.

My curiosity got the better of me one day so I asked her:

"Why would you eat something you are allergic to?"

To which she replied:

"Because its 12p"


Fair enough.
